Live to fight another day: Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KO) scored an 8th Rd stoppage vs Oscar Duarte. After that he called for Rolly Romero saying, “You got beat up by that old dude, we know what happened… Let's keep building, then we can go after Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez."
Notably missing in Garcia’s call out was IBF champ Subriel Matias (20-1 20 KO’s) who looked impressive in his bout on the Benavidez/Andrade Card.
Welcome to the Top: With a KO of perennial contender Beneil Dariush, Arman Tsarukyan put the lightweight division on notice. He said he wanted to stop Dariush as he does not want decision fights. His actions said as much bringing the fight to an end 1:04 after it started.
What makes the punch that dropped the man from Iran more impressive, is that Arman landed it with a leg off the canvas. He said of his opponent, “he is the most respectful fighter in the division” and that all other top fighters turned him down.
Before Daniel Cormier entered the octagon to conduct the post fight interview, “Ahalkalakets” told him, “Tell Islam to fight me.” The two had a co-main event match in St. Petersburg Russia in 2019. A bout that saw Arman lose a decision. It was also a fight that most fans believed they would see again. Tsarukyan claims that it will be different when they do it again and promises to KO Islam.
The King is Crowned: In a sport like Bare Knuckle, the title “King of Violence” is a fitting one. In a 175lb bout, BKFC awarded this inaugural title to Mike Perry. “Platinum” was victorious in his bout with the “Underground King” Eddie Alvarez.
Round 1 was dominated by Alvarez jab. In Round 2 Platinum pushed the pace battered the former UFC & Bellator Lightweight champ causing Eddie’s corner to call the fight between rounds.
Afterwards Mike called out Fight Sports King Conor McGregor who faced off against Perry after his last bout. Perry was made for Bare Knuckle and has elevated himself to the face of the sport.
