Shey Peddy Signs with the Connecticut Sun!

Uncasville, CT (February 16, 2024) – Today, the Connecticut Sun announced that guard Shey Peddy has signed a training camp contract extended by Sun General Manager Darius Taylor. Per team policy, no details were released. “We are elated to welcome Shey Peddy to Connecticut,” remarked Taylor. “Shey brings experience, basketball IQ and depth to our backcourt. Her reputation as a hard worker and great teammate is something we value, and we look forward to having her in camp”.

Peddy was originally drafted 23rd overall in the 2012 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky but did not make her WNBA debut until the 2019 season where she played 15 contests with the Washington Mystics. The 5-7 guard began the 2020 season with the Mystics but was waived by the team and then picked up by the Phoenix Mercury later in the season. Peddy has played her last four seasons with the Mercury from 2020-2023. Over 116 career games, she has averaged 6.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest. In addition to the WNBA, Peddy has enjoyed a successful career overseas where she has played in Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Latvia and Turkey. Most recently, the Boston native signed with the UK-WBBL club, the London Lions, on January 22.
