SKYHAWKS HOST LOCAL OPEN TRYOUTS AT WOODWARD ACADEMY IN COLLEGE PARK

The College Park Skyhawks, the NBA G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, hosted their fourth local open tryouts on Sunday at Woodward Academy in College Park.

Nearly 100 local players participated in the full day of workouts and evaluations. College Park Skyhawks part owner 2 Chainz made an appearance to speak with the players and coaches. Skyhawks General Manager Daniel Starkman and Head Coach Ryan Schmidt were among those on hand to evaluate the local talent pool.

“We had a good group of guys today,” said Starkman. “They had talent and they had competitiveness. We asked the guys to compete and play team basketball and they went out there and did that, so today was a fun day.”
