In an exciting revelation, the NFL has disclosed the thrilling skills competitions set to unfold during the 2024 Pro Bowl Games presented by Verizon. From Dodgeball to Tug-of-War, these competitions promise to showcase the unique talents of AFC and NFC players, bringing an extra layer of excitement to the Pro Bowl festivities.


A Spectacular Two-Day Event


The Pro Bowl Skills Show kicks off on Thursday, Feb. 1, at the Nicholson Fieldhouse, University of Central Florida, airing live on ESPN from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET. The spectacle continues on Sunday, Feb. 4, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, culminating in an epic flag football showdown among the league's best players.


New and Returning Competitions


Thursday, Feb. 1:


Precision Passing: Quarterbacks from each conference will battle in a one-minute accuracy competition, aiming to accumulate points by hitting targets attached to robotic dummies and drones.


Best Catch: Players showcase creativity and talent in a pre-taped competition in Orlando landmarks. Fans vote online to determine the best catch.


Closest to the Pin: The Golf accuracy competition features six players from each conference, aiming to hit the ball closest to the hole.


High Stakes: A unique challenge where players catch punts from a JUGS machine, advancing to the next round with each successful catch.


Dodgeball was presented by Bud Light: A multi-round tournament featuring AFC offense vs. NFC defense and NFC offense vs. AFC defense.


Kick Tac Toe: Kickers compete in a giant Tic-Tac-Toe competition, aiming to complete a connecting line or hit five squares to win.


Sunday, Feb. 4:


Madden NFL Head-to-Head: Players represent the NFC and AFC in a Madden NFL 24 showdown, with the winning team earning three points for their conference.

Gridiron Gauntlet: A challenging relay race with obstacles like breaking through walls and crawling under doors.


Tug-of-War: A new addition where teams battle in a five-on-five demonstration of teamwork, strength, and strategy.


Move the Chains: Offensive and defensive linemen compete to move 3,000 pounds of weights off a massive wall and pull a 2,000-pound wall across the finish line.

These competitions, ranging from Madden showdowns to physical challenges like Tug-of-War, promise to captivate fans and celebrate the multifaceted skills of NFL players. The Pro Bowl Games are a must-watch; fans can witness the action on-site and through various televised platforms.
